ToolGPT

AI image generator: make a picture from a description

Describe the picture you want, and ToolGPT turns it into a card with the shape, quality and cost spelled out. Press Generate and an AI image model on a server makes the picture. You sign in first, because AI pictures need an account.

What it can do

  • Three shapes

    Square (1:1), Landscape (3:2) or Portrait (2:3).

  • Low, medium or high quality

Low for quick drafts, high for a final picture. Higher quality costs more credits.

  • Up to four variations

Ask for several versions of one description in a single job.

  • A clearer description

The assistant turns your words into a clear visual description of subject, setting, style and lighting, shown on the card.

  • The cost before you start

The card shows the estimated credits. They are held while the picture is made and refunded if it fails; the final charge is the actual cost.

  • Results in Output Files

Finished pictures appear in the chat and in Output Files, ready to download or to edit further.

How it works

  1. 1

Sign in and describe the picture

Open ToolGPT, sign in with Google or Apple, and say what you want to see. No file is needed.

  2. 2

    Check the card

ToolGPT shows your description, the shape, the quality, the number of variations and the cost. Ask for a change and it shows a new card.

  3. 3

    Generate and download

Press Generate, or reply “go”. A progress bar appears, and the picture arrives in the chat with a download button.

Sign in first, then confirm on the card

Picture generation needs an account. If you ask while signed out, ToolGPT shows a Sign in button instead of a card; sign in with Google or Apple, then ask again.

Nothing is made until you confirm: press the card's Generate button, or reply “go” in a new message. The assistant cannot start a job on its own.

How credits work

Each picture is charged in credits from your ToolGPT account. The card shows an estimate before you start; the credits are held while the picture is made and refunded if the job fails. The final charge is the actual cost, which can differ from the estimate. Higher quality and more variations cost more.

If your balance is too low, ToolGPT says how many credits the picture needs and how many you have, and the job does not start. The message also says what time your daily credits refill. There can also be a daily limit on how many picture jobs an account starts, and ToolGPT says when it resets. To check your balance, ask “how many credits do I have?”.

Where the picture is made

Unlike most ToolGPT tools, generation does not happen on your device. Your description goes to ToolGPT's server, which passes it to an outside image service running an OpenAI model. It usually takes under a minute, and you can keep working in the chat meanwhile. If you reload the page, ToolGPT picks the job up again and brings the result in when it is ready.

If the image service refuses a description under its content rules, the job fails, the reason is shown, and the held credits are refunded.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

Yes. AI pictures need you to sign in with Google or Apple. Most other ToolGPT tools work without an account.

How many credits does a picture cost?

The card shows the estimate before you press Generate. It depends on the quality and on how many variations you ask for.

What file do I get?

An image file, usually a PNG, named after your description and saved in Output Files.

Can I change the picture afterwards?

Yes. Ask ToolGPT to edit it with the AI image editor, or resize, crop, compress or convert it with the regular photo tools.
