What it can do

  • PNG or JPEG

PNG keeps text and line drawings crisp; JPEG makes smaller files for pages full of photos.

  • Any pages you name

All pages, a single page, or ranges such as “1-3” and “2, 5-7”.

  • Resolution cards

Cards from 72 to 300 dpi show the page count before anything is exported.

  • One file per page

Each page becomes its own image, named after the PDF and the page number.

  • Bundle into a zip

Ask ToolGPT to zip the page images so you can download them in one go.

How it works

  1. 1

    Attach the PDF

Open ToolGPT and add the PDF with the + button, or drop it into the chat.

  2. 2

    Pick pages and a resolution

Say which pages you need and whether you want PNG or JPEG, then tap one of the resolution cards.

  3. 3

    Download the images

A single-page export arrives as a card in the chat with a download button. Several pages are saved to Output Files, and you can ask for them as one zip. The PDF itself is not changed.

Choosing a resolution

Resolution is measured in dots per inch (dpi). 72 and 96 dpi suit quick previews and screens. 150 to 200 dpi gives clear text for slides and documents. Higher settings show finer detail but make much larger files.

The highest setting is 300 dpi, the usual resolution for printing.

One exported page can have up to about 16.8 megapixels. A larger page, such as a poster or an A3 page at 300 dpi, is exported at the highest resolution that fits, and ToolGPT tells you the resolution it used.

What you get back

Every selected page becomes a separate PNG or JPEG, named like quarterly_report_page3.png. If a page number is outside the document, ToolGPT tells you how many pages the PDF has.

Some things are not available: a transparent background, joining all pages into one tall image, and skipping blank pages automatically. ToolGPT says so rather than pretending. To collect many pages at once, ask it to zip them into a single file.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The pages are rendered in your browser by a PDF engine that runs inside the page.

Should I choose PNG or JPEG?

PNG for pages that are mostly text, charts or line drawings. JPEG for pages full of photographs, where it makes much smaller files.

Can I get the whole document as one image?

No. Each page is its own image; joining pages into one tall picture is not available.

Can I turn the images back into a PDF?

Yes. Ask ToolGPT to combine them into a PDF, one image per page.
