ToolGPT

Photo filters and effects you preview on your own picture

A filter or an effect is hard to judge from its name. Attach a photo and ask ToolGPT for a look, and it shows a gallery of your picture in each style next to the untouched original. Tap the one you like and a new copy is made in your browser.

What it can do

  • Ten looks

Warm, Cool, Mono, Film, Vivid, Fade, Noir, Matte, Sepia and Bright, each rendered on your photo beside the original.

  • Adjustable strength

Ask for a gentler look and ToolGPT shows it at full, 65% and 35% strength to compare.

  • Brightness and contrast

Raise or lower brightness and contrast, together with a look or on their own.

  • Film grain

Add light, medium or strong grain for a textured finish.

  • Your choice of format

Keep the photo's own format, or save the result as JPEG, PNG or WEBP.

How it works

  1. 1

    Attach a photo

Add a JPEG, PNG or WEBP with the + button, or drop it into the chat. No account is needed.

  2. 2

    Pick a look

Ask for a filter or describe a mood. Tap a tile in the gallery, or ask for “a bit less” to see gentler versions.

  3. 3

    Download the new photo

The filtered picture appears in the chat with a download button. Your original photo is not changed.

Judge every look on your photo

Each tile in the gallery is your own photo with the look applied, so you compare styles on the picture you care about rather than on a sample image. The original is the first tile, which makes it easy to see whether a change is an improvement.

If a look is close but too strong, say so. ToolGPT shows that one look at three strengths, and you tap the version that feels right.

Fine-tune in plain words

Beyond the named looks, you can ask for brightness, contrast and grain in the same message. “Make it a bit brighter with more contrast” works with a filter or without one, and so does “add light grain”.

Changed your mind? Ask for a different look. The original photo is never altered, so you can always start again from it. For effects that redraw the picture, such as a cartoon or a painting, see ToolGPT's AI photo effects.

For photos, on your device

These looks are for still pictures. For a video, attach it and ask for a filter; that is a separate ToolGPT tool. The look is applied in your browser, so the photo is not uploaded to edit it, and the new file does not carry over the original's camera details or GPS location.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use these filters on a video?

Not these ones. ToolGPT has separate filters for video; attach the video and ask for a filter.

Can I save my own filter?

No. You can combine a look with brightness, contrast and grain each time to get close to what you want.

Does a filter change my original photo?

No. The filtered picture is saved as a new file, and the original stays as it was.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The looks are previewed and applied in your browser.
