ToolGPT

Batch process video and audio files with one plan

Some jobs take more than one step: trim a recording, compress what is left, then shape it for TikTok. Others repeat one step across a stack of files. Describe the whole job to ToolGPT and it lays out one plan with a Start button. Nothing runs until you press it, and every step runs in your browser.

What it can do

  • Five kinds of step

Video conversion (which also covers compressing), audio conversion, trimming or cutting, rotating or flipping, and preparing a video for a social platform.

  • One plan, one Start

Every file and every step is shown before anything runs. Only your press on Start launches it.

  • Many files at once

One chain is applied to every file, each as its own independent run. One file can get different settings when you ask.

  • One file, several versions

Split one video into parts, each with its own chain of steps.

  • Retry and cancel

Retry only the steps that failed, keeping the ones that finished, or cancel a workflow that is waiting or running.

How it works

  1. 1

    Attach your files

Add one file or several with the + button. Workflows take video and audio files.

  2. 2

Describe the job and check the plan

Say what should happen, in order. ToolGPT shows the plan: each file, each step and its settings.

  3. 3

    Press Start and download

Press Start. The results appear as cards in the chat, ready to download.

What a workflow can include

A workflow is built from five kinds of step: converting a video to another format or settings, converting audio, trimming or cutting, rotating or flipping, and preparing a video for a social platform such as TikTok or Instagram Reels. Compressing is a video conversion with smaller settings. One chain can hold up to 12 steps.

Other tools, such as blurring, fades or GIFs, are not part of a workflow. Ask for those one at a time; each can work on the result of the one before.

Checked before it runs

A multi-step job is where a misunderstanding costs the most time, so ToolGPT never starts one by itself. The plan lists the files and the settings for each step, and the job begins only when you press Start.

Some settings cannot be known in advance. When you ask to compress a part you are also trimming, without naming a size, the run pauses after the trim, reads the trimmed file's real size and length, and aims the compression at about half that size. It then carries on without asking again, because the plan you approved already covered that step.

When something goes wrong

Each file runs as its own branch. If a step fails, ToolGPT can retry just the failed steps; steps and branches that already finished are kept and not run again. You can also cancel a workflow that is waiting or running, and the current job stops cleanly.

Frequently asked questions

Which steps can a workflow include?

Video conversion (including compressing), audio conversion, trimming or cutting, rotating or flipping, and preparing a video for a social platform.

Can one file get different settings from the rest?

Yes. Say which file should be different, and the plan shows its own chain.

Can ToolGPT start the workflow without me?

No. Only your press on the Start button runs it.

Does it work on photos or PDFs?

No. Workflows take video and audio files only. Photos and PDFs have their own tools.
