ToolGPT

Edit a photo by telling ToolGPT what to change

Attach a photo and say what you want, or just ask to edit it. ToolGPT shows your picture with a button for each photo tool, so you see what is possible without learning an editor. The regular photo tools work in your browser, and your original is never changed.

What it can do

  • Every photo tool on one card

Crop, Rotate & flip, Colours & light, Remove background, Passport photo, Resize, Convert and Compress, each one tap away.

  • Previews on your own picture

Crop shapes, looks and turns are drawn on your photo, and the size options show the numbers for your file before you choose.

  • Passport and ID photos

Frame the head to a passport, visa or ID card preset and put the person on its plain background, which you can change.

  • New backgrounds for portraits

Cut a person out onto white, gray, blue or any other color, or save them on a transparent background as a PNG.

  • Size, format and file weight

Resize to exact pixels, switch between JPEG, PNG and WEBP, or compress a whole batch to smaller files.

  • Your original stays

Every edit is saved as a new file in the chat, ready to download.

How it works

  1. 1

    Attach a photo

Press the + button or drop a JPEG, PNG or WEBP into the chat. No account is needed.

  2. 2

    Choose an edit

Ask to edit it and tap a button on the photo tools card, or name the edit you want straight away.

  3. 3

    Download the result

The edited photo appears in the chat with a download button. Your original is not changed.

One chat instead of a maze of menus

Most photo editors make you find the right menu first. With ToolGPT you attach the photo and say what you want. If you are not sure, ask “what can you do with this?” and the photo tools card appears with your picture and a button for each tool. A tap sends that request as your next message, and the tool's own card opens on your photo.

When you already know the edit, skip the card: “crop it to a square” or “make it smaller for email” goes straight to the right tool. Each tool also has its own page, linked below, with its options in detail.

Pick from previews, or name the exact edit

Ask for a choice and the tools show their options first: crop shapes, color looks and turns drawn on your own photo, or the size each choice would give. Name the exact edit, such as “rotate it 90 degrees to the right”, and it is usually applied straight away; passport photos and new backgrounds normally open a live preview first.

The card can also offer AI edit, marked Paid, for changes the regular tools cannot make, such as taking an object out of a picture. That is a separate tool with its own page, the AI image editor.

Edited in your browser

The regular photo tools run on your device, so your pictures are not uploaded to edit them, and the new files leave out details stored in the original, such as the GPS location. Compress and convert take a batch of photos at once; the other tools work on one photo at a time.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install an app?

No. ToolGPT is a website you open in the browser on a computer or a phone, and the regular photo tools need no account.

Which photos can I edit?

JPEG, PNG and WEBP photos. iPhone HEIC photos open only in browsers that read HEIC themselves, such as Safari.

Is my original photo changed?

No. Every edit is saved as a new file, and the photo you attached stays as it was.

Are my photos uploaded?

Not by the regular photo tools, which run in your browser. AI edit asks your permission before it uploads a photo; the AI image editor page explains it.
