ToolGPT

Resize a video for social media posts and email

Seven destinations, each with its own frame size, frame rate and length limit. ToolGPT's resizer knows them, fits your whole picture into the new frame over a background you choose, and writes a ready-to-post MP4 in your browser.

What it can do

  • Seven recipes

TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and WhatsApp Status at 1080×1920; Instagram feed at 1080×1350; X at 1280×720; Email at 960×540.

  • Nothing cropped

The whole picture is fitted into the frame, and the empty space gets a blurred copy of the video, black, white or a color.

  • Adjustable blur

Make the blurred background stronger or softer, or darken it so your video stands out.

  • Length limits handled

When a video is longer than the platform allows, choose which part to keep.

  • Live preview card

Change the platform, background and kept range on a card with a live preview, then press Apply.

  • A format platforms accept

H.264 video with AAC audio in an MP4, at your video's own frame rate up to the platform's limit.

How it works

  1. 1

    Attach the video

Add the video you want to post with the + button.

  2. 2

    Name the platform

Say where it is going. A recipe card opens with a live preview; adjust the platform, background or kept range there if you like.

  3. 3

    Apply and download

Press Apply, or ask ToolGPT to apply it for you. Download the MP4 from the result card.

Platform settings at a glance

Each recipe sets a frame size, a frame-rate limit and a length limit. TikTok and YouTube Shorts take up to 60 seconds, Instagram Reels 90 and WhatsApp Status 30, all at 1080×1920. The Instagram feed recipe is 1080×1350 for up to 60 seconds, X is 1280×720 for up to 140 seconds, and Email is 960×540 for up to 60 seconds.

Your video keeps its own frame rate unless it is higher than the recipe allows: 60 frames per second for most platforms, 30 for the Instagram feed and Email. A recipe never adds frames that were not there.

Fitting instead of cropping

Many resizers cut the sides off a landscape video to make it vertical. This one scales the whole picture to fit and fills the rest of the frame, so text and people near the edges stay in view. A blurred copy of your own video is the default fill; black, white or a color you name also work.

If you only need a different shape, such as square or 16:9, without a platform's size and length rules, ask for that instead. ToolGPT then shows the shapes on your own frame and keeps your video's resolution and length.

Frequently asked questions

Which platforms does it support?

TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, WhatsApp Status, the Instagram feed, X (Twitter) and email.

What happens if my video is too long for the platform?

One stretch is kept, the beginning by default. Drag the range on the card, or name a start time, to keep a different part.

Can I resize several videos at once?

Yes. Attach them together and name the platform; ToolGPT shows one plan with a Start button and prepares each video separately.

Is my video uploaded?

No. The resizing runs in your browser, with its built-in video encoder where possible.
